Today, we are are going to talk about the Boreal Forest! The boreal forest, is also know as Taiga, which is a Russian word that describes the swampy conditions of the forest in the summer months.
Boreal forests are mainly located in the uppermost of the northern hemisphere, and south of the arctic circle. They usually lie in between tundras and temperate rain forests. Specifically, they are located in United States, Canada, Russia, Mongolia, Japan, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Finland and United Kingdom.

In Canada, the boreal zone stretches all the way from Yukon and northern British Columbia to Newfoundland and Labrador. In addition, 30% of the world's boreal forests lie within Canada.
